Scientists from Tohoku University and the Australian National University have made a significant advancement in plasma propulsion technology, which could potentially be used in the future for sending spacecraft to faraway planets or even powering flying cars.
Airbus has revealed a hydrogen-powered engine that could potentially be used in the creation of zero-emission planes with the capacity to carry over 100 passengers after 2035.

Airbus and CFM International have agreed to jointly produce a hydrogen propulsion technology demonstrator for testing the very first A380, production serial MSN001. The aim of the project is to test the technology for ZeroE aircraft, initially on the ground and then in flight. The first ZeroE aircraft are scheduled to enter service by 2035.
