The investors are Zhuhai Enpower Electric Co., Ltd. (“Enpower”, SZ300681), a leading Chinese provider of new energy vehicle power systems, and a strategic institutional investor from the Middle East. Both investors have agreed to a 180-day lock-up period.

EHang, a leader in Urban Air Mobility (UAM) technology, and Enpower, a pioneer in new energy vehicle (NEV) power systems, will collaborate to co-develop high-performance electric motors and motor controllers for EHang’s suite of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
Toyota is further strengthening its relationship with Joby Aviation which is developing electric air taxis with a new investment of $500 million. The funding is intended to help the company manufacture commercial eVTOL aircraft and obtain the necessary aviation certification to enable Joby to launch its air taxi service in 2025.
The first trial flight of EHang’s EH216-S in Brazil took place in Quadra, located in the São Paulo region. This event, in collaboration with Gohobby Future Technologies, EHang’s local operator, marks a significant advancement for the future of UAM in Brazil.
