Jetson Aero has started serial deliveries of the Jetson One eVTOL in the United States. The aircraft can be flown without a pilot’s license, demand is fully booked through 2027, and prices have increased.
The company is closing 2025 on a positive note, steadily handing over the first series-production Jetson One units a single-seat eVTOL that can be operated in the U.S. without formal pilot certification. Just before Christmas, another aircraft was delivered to a California owner, a clear signal that after earlier delays, real customer deliveries are now underway.
Early buyers finally receive their aircraft
Jetson highlights the role of early customers who waited years for delivery. Among the most prominent is Palmer Luckey, founder of Anduril Industries. His Jetson One became the first officially delivered unit in September 2025, later than originally expected. With this milestone, deliveries have clearly begun, and the company is now demonstrating a smooth, repeatable handover process.
Rapid training and immediate usability
One of the Jetson One’s biggest attractions is how quickly owners can get airborne. The manufacturer provides hands-on training, after which customers can typically fly on the day of delivery. Luckey’s preparation, for example, reportedly took less than 50 minutes.
The fact that U.S. regulations do not require a pilot’s license has significantly boosted interest in this new segment of personal air mobility, and such a short learning curve often proves more persuasive than any marketing brochure.
Rising prices and a packed order book
The price has increased from USD 128,000 to USD 148,000, yet demand remains strong. Production capacity is reportedly sold out not only for 2026 but also for 2027, with new slots available from 2028 onward. Jetson has also relocated its headquarters to California and is expanding demonstration flights and training infrastructure.
For a brand in a growth phase, this appears to be a logical move, and the crowded order book speaks volumes about the appeal of an aircraft that is easy to learn and quick to put into use.
