Soon we will be able to travel in airships instead of planes

Aviation is by far the most polluting form of transport and more and more people are speaking out against it. While Airbus and many others are experimenting with ways to make planes greener, the UK’s Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) would rather bring airships back into the public consciousness – or at least something like them.

Special water-air vehicle

This half boat, half plane will offer a super-fast alternative to travelling between coastal cities. The Boston-based company Regent has unveiled the Seaglider, an all-electric powered plane that flies directly over water. According to the company, the seaglider, which is built for affordability, will have zero emissions and will soar through the air at staggeringly high speeds.

Flying soldiers may serve in the US Army

Perhaps one of man’s greatest desires has always been to fly. Nowadays, it is no longer unattainable, but to fly in the air in a one-man flying machine can still seem futuristic. However, it seems that it is not only in video games that this technology will be available, as several innovations have been made recently. An eVTOL called Hexa – an electronic vertical take-off and landing device – is being tested to see how it could be used for military purposes.
