The Eviation Aircraft electric aircraft goes into production

Four years after Eviation Aircraft unveiled its electric aircraft, the final production version has been completed. Israel’s Eviation Aircraft made its debut at the 2017 Paris Air Show with Alice, heralded as the first electric aircraft capable of long-range flight. Now the company has made another announcement: the production version of the Alice is ready.

The range of electric aircraft could increase significantly

The stability and performance of lithium-oxygen batteries could be significantly improved with a tailored electrolyte that could represent the next generation of rechargeable batteries. This is according to a team of scientists from the University of Liverpool, Johnson Matthey PLC and Loughborough University, which has designed a new stable material mixture for lithium-metal anode lithium-oxygen batteries.

Electric aircraft will be the center of Florida

In Florida, 10 centers will be set up from which electric, jet-powered, so-called air taxis will be able to travel across the state. Five-year-old Munich-based startup Lilium announced on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with Spanish infrastructure company Ferrovial to build more than 10 landing sites – veriports – in several major Florida cities, including Orlando. Lilium CEO Dr. Remo Gerber said the majority of Florida residents will be able to reach one of the air taxi centers in about 30 minutes as the company plans to scatter the stations across the state so they become accessible to everyone.

NASA is also developing its electric aircraft

NASA wants electric aircraft carrying passengers to be in service by 2035.mIn recent years, more and more places have heard about the development of electric aircraft. AirBus is scheduled to carry passengers with them by 2035, and the magniX set a nice record in the summer of 2020.
