Drones equipped with a self-monitoring “nervous system” are poised to revolutionize the industry by enabling longer, safer, and more efficient flights. By the middle of the decade, Denmark would allow passengers to board environmentally friendly planes when travelling within the country. Denmark would green its domestic flights by 2030, meaning that by the end of the decade only zero-emission aircraft would fly within the country’s borders. This was announced by Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Denmark.
At least according to the CEO of Hyundai. At the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the world’s first car that can fly was unveiled, the brainchild of Dutch company PAL-V. Called Liberty, the vehicle uses a 99 horsepower engine on the ground and a 197 horsepower engine in the air.
