Samson Switchblade flying car

  • 2Minutes

It won’t take long for the official introduction of the latest amphibian, the Samson Switchblade. With the American miracle vehicle, you can ascend from the road into the air.

This concept is not unique as a flying car similar to the world has also been introduced. One is a Slovak development, an AeroMobil propeller roughly similar to the current one, and the other is the Vahana Aero, developed by French Airbus, which has no less than eight engines.

Looking at the catalog, the idea of making cars that can be flown seems to be becoming more and more popular in the minds of innovators. After all, it’s a convenient thing to be able to make a trip faster because it’s considered airline as everything is shorter.

The Samson Switchblade also works on this principle, with a 5.1-meter-long and 1.8-meter-wide chest in ground mode designed with sufficiently streamlined and fold-in wings – a span of 8.2 meters. When the air function is activated, the rear propeller is activated and the structure can rise off the road.

The U.S. company has developed the 1.6-liter V4 water-cooled engine itself, which is capable of delivering 190 horsepower peak power and can cover 724 kilometers when the 113-liter fuel tank is full in the air. That’s a pretty serious range from 794 kilograms of iron, though. The base price of the miracle machine is $ 100,000, which can be upgraded to $ 130,000.
