Hyundai launches its own electric air taxi in 2028

  • 1Minute

The company announced the creation of Supernal, a company that aims to develop electric flying vehicles for the future. Supernal will continue to develop a concept car, the S-A1, and plans to produce the first models as early as 2024, although they will have to pass certain tests and obtain certification from the authorities before they can be sold.

The company plans to launch the vehicle in 2028 – the S-A1, unveiled a year and a half ago, will be capable of speeds of up to 290 km/h, with a flight altitude of between 300 and 600 metres, and a range of around 96 km.

The vehicle will operate exclusively on electric power and will be able to carry 4-5 passengers at a time, according to the company. Once it is officially launched, it will initially operate only on urban routes, subject to obtaining all the necessary certificates from the authorities, and will later be able to fly between cities.
