Small drone hovering in the air

  • 1Minute

According to Cleo Robotics, the maker of the Dronut X1, it is “the world’s first twin-rotor, ducted drone”, which means that unlike conventional drones, its propellers are not located outside the fuselage but inside the drone. The unique solution gives the device a rather futuristic look, barely the size of a palm, which is also equipped with a Lidar system to avoid collisions and a Snapdragon processor to take care of the machine intelligence. Equipped with LED reflectors and a 4K camera, the flying “donut” is the perfect solution for mapping narrow or dangerous places, according to its manufacturer, and its special design makes it safe to use around people and resistant to collisions. Compared to conventional drones, the Dronut X1 comes at a rather hefty price of $9800.
