In a landmark move for aviation technology, CycloTech, an Austrian pioneer in innovative flight propulsion technology, has announced a successful 20 million Euro investment, marking a significant milestone in the development of its groundbreaking propulsion system.
This investment, contributed by Breeze Invest and Konos Holding, underscores the industry’s confidence in CycloTech’s vision and its potential to redefine the future of air mobility.

Investment Highlights
Capital Injection: The recent funding round saw a substantial 20 million Euro investment from Breeze Invest and Konos Holding, aimed at accelerating the development of the CycloRotor propulsion system.
Development Milestone: Funds will be channeled towards the creation of the first full-scale prototype of the CycloRotor, signifying a major leap from concept to market-ready technology.
Funding Target: CycloTech sets its sights on an overall financing goal of 53 million Euros for 2024, aiming to secure the necessary capital to bring its innovative technology to the forefront of the aviation industry.
CycloTech’s Journey and Future Prospects
Since its inception in 2016, CycloTech has been at the cutting edge of aviation propulsion technology, having developed six generations of CycloRotors. The latest iteration has been in flight test operations since 2021, demonstrating the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
Hans-Georg Kinsky, CEO of CycloTech, highlighted the financing’s crucial role in kickstarting commercial activities and generating revenue. The versatility of the CycloRotor propulsion system opens up numerous applications, from logistics and construction to defense, showcasing its potential to revolutionize multiple sectors.
With ongoing discussions with other potential investors, CycloTech is on track to meet its 53 million Euro funding target for the year. This capital will facilitate the CycloRotor’s certification process with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), laying the groundwork for a marketable product by 2030.
Maximilian Schönfeldt of Breeze Invest expressed strong confidence in CycloTech’s technology, emphasizing its potential to transform urban air mobility and reshape transportation.
A Game Changer in Aviation and Automotive Industries
CycloTech’s electrically driven CycloRotors offer a unique advantage with their 360° thrust vector control, a stark contrast to traditional propulsion methods limited to unidirectional thrust. This innovation paves the way for new mass markets in sustainable aviation and the long-term vision of realizing the flying car.
The technology enables the development of eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft that are smaller, more comfortable, and highly maneuverable, distinguishing them from existing market solutions. It allows for seamless transition between flight phases without the need for attitude adjustments or additional propulsion systems.
About CycloTech
CycloTech GmbH stands at the forefront of aviation propulsion technology with its revolutionary CycloRotors, based on the Voith-Schneider Principle. The company’s dedication to developing a sustainable, highly maneuverable propulsion system aligns with the 21st-century demands for new air mobility. With its compact design and unique capabilities, CycloTech aims to democratize air mobility, making the dream of individual flight as commonplace as car travel, thereby opening the skies to everyone.
