Ondas Holdings, through its subsidiary Airobotics, has successfully concluded the acquisition of Iron Drone Ltd., an Israeli company specializing in autonomous drone interception systems. This strategic move adds a valuable asset to Airobotics’ growing portfolio, equipping it with innovative anti-drone technology that complements its existing product offerings.

Iron Drone: Groundbreaking Anti-Drone Solutions

Iron Drone delivers cutting-edge, fully automated anti-drone systems capable of neutralizing small drones, such as reconnaissance or spy drones, without relying on GPS or radio frequency jamming. Their interceptor drone, equipped with advanced AI vision, is designed to autonomously track and disable designated targets. The system ensures a safe interception by deploying a parachute net to capture and gently lower the target to the ground.

A Synergistic Partnership for Growth

The integration of Iron Drone’s anti-drone technology into Ondas’ portfolio presents significant growth opportunities, as highlighted by Eric Brock, CEO of Ondas Holdings. The merger of Airobotics and Iron Drone strengthens their position in the rapidly expanding drone market, enabling them to provide comprehensive solutions to a diverse customer base in the public safety and industrial sectors.

This acquisition marks Ondas’ initial foray into the public safety, homeland security, and defense segment, building upon their previous acquisition of Airobotics to deliver government-grade drone systems for critical infrastructure protection.

Meeting the Demand for Non-Weaponized Countermeasures

Meir Kliner, President of Ondas Autonomous Systems, shared that numerous potential customers have already expressed interest in obtaining a reliable, weapon-free drone countermeasure solution. Iron Drone’s unique AI-driven system physically disables targeted drones, making it effective against pre-programmed enemy drones and UAVs.

Furthermore, its low-emission radio signals enable operation in sensitive areas such as airports, residential neighborhoods, and near critical infrastructure where jamming devices are restricted. This will allow clients to neutralize threats while utilizing Optimus drones for video surveillance.
